Dubai's 2026 events calendar: when to book your stay

From the Shopping Festival to film, food and Formula weekends — the dates worth planning a Dubai holiday around, and when to reserve your home early.

Dubai runs on a calendar of marquee events, and the smartest trips are planned around them. Here are the moments worth building a stay around in 2026 — and a note on when to lock in your home, because the best addresses go first.

Cooler-season highlights (October–April)

  • Dubai Shopping Festival — the city's flagship retail season, with city-wide sales, nightly fireworks, and concerts. Book your home 6–8 weeks ahead.
  • Art season — galleries across Alserkal Avenue and the major fairs draw collectors and curious travellers alike.
  • Food festivals — Dubai's restaurant scene takes over the calendar with tasting events and chef residencies.
  • Sporting weekends — tennis, golf and motorsport bring premium-demand spikes; the surrounding neighbourhoods sell out first.

Warm-season value (May–September)

The summer months are quieter on the events front but unbeatable on value (see our summer guide). Indoor festivals, mall events, and hotel-pool day passes keep things lively while rates stay soft.

When to reserve

A simple rule: the bigger the event, the earlier you book. For festival and sporting weekends, reserve six to eight weeks ahead to secure the neighbourhood and the view you want. For quieter weeks, a fortnight is usually plenty.

Tell your concierge which event you're coming for and we'll position you in the right neighbourhood — walking distance where it matters, a calm retreat where it doesn't.
